We exist to Know, Love and Serve God.

What does this mean?

Know God...

IMG 25081) To Study the Word of God (Hos 14:9; 1 Tim 4:13; 2 Tim 2:15)

One of the best ways to know God is to spend time in His word; reading and studying it. We must spend time in the word of God on a regular basis to study the deeper truths in it.

2) To apply Word of God to daily life (2 Tim 2:15; 1 John 2:15)

As we study the Word of God we must also put into practice what it says. It is important to know more about God, but we also need to apply what we learn so that our actions become more like God’s actions.

3) To converse with God (Prayer) (1 Thes 5:17; Jud 1:20)

A part of knowing God is to spend time in prayer by speaking to Him about our concerns, but also to give words of adoration and thanksgiving. Talking to God just like you would another person. Then we are also to spend some of that prayer time listening to God and what He may want to say to us.

Love God...

1) To lift up the name of the Lord in song (Worship, Praise) (Psa 7:17; 96:9)

A part of loving God is singing songs that either lift up the name of God (teach us about God, praise and adore Him) or are an expression towards God for who He is and what He has done for us (Thanksgiving, Adoration).

2) To live in Holiness (1 John 2:15)

We seek to live holy lives and encourage each other to that end.

3) To converse with God (Prayer) (1 Thes 5:17; Jud 1:20)

A part of loving God is conversing with him in the dialogue of prayer.

Serve God...

1) To proclaim the gospel (Evangelism) (Rom 10:14-17; Philemon 1:6)

An essential part of serving God is to preach (using words) the gospel to anyone, anytime, anywhere, no matter the cost. This also means that we get equipped with the tools we need to clearly communicate the gospel in a gentle and respectful way. It includes using modes and methods that we are both comfortable and uncomfortable with.

IMG 48712) To help Christians to know, love and serve God (Discipleship) (Matt 28:19-20)

Another essential part of serving God is to disciple the people of the church. This is the responsibility of each person in the church. We all must disciple and be disciple. This may include a formal way of discipleship.  In discipleship we teach the people of our church to Know God (See above) and to love God.

3) To love each other in the church (1 John 3:17; 4:21)

We are to love each other in the church by supporting them in both joy and sorrow; to care for their needs as we are able, and to serve each other where  we are able. We always seek to build each other up. We all must agree on the essentials of the faith (Who God is and salvation), while working towards unity and doing God’s will.

4) To speak truth (Eph 4:25)

We will speak truth to any and all people on any given issue, but with love, gentleness and respect, just as in sharing the gospel. We will also defend those who are defenceless (the widow, children, unborn, moral right, the broken, and the victim (Gal 2:10).

Key Ministry Areas

We are developing seven Key Ministry Areas to focus on, as a church, to fulfill the God has given us.

1. Discipleship --> To teach and train the Christians in our church to be fully devoted disicples of Jesus Christ, who reflect His glory.

2. Evangelism --> This is the way the church will grow, by being concerned for those who are not Christians and knowing where their eternity lies we seek to share the gospel with any person, anytime, anywhere, no matter the cost.

3. Worship --> We seek to worship our God in all that we do including our Sunday Family Worship Service.

4. Family --> We seek to impact all families, regardless of they stage of lives, to build strong and Godly families.

5. Fellowship --> We seek to have Godly fellowship, fellowship that encourages and builds up each person who is a part of our church family.

6. Charity/Service --> we seek to serve each other and the community to show the love of God in a practical way.

7. Prayer --> We understand that prayer is a priority for anything we do individually and together as a church.

For each of these Key Ministry Areas we are seeking tangable faith and work goals so that our God given vision is more than words on page, but lived out together as a community of believes in Jesus Christ.
